Picnics – FAQ’s
What is included in the picnic?
Our picnic includes a selection of freshly made savoury and sweet delights including a trio of sandwiches, a trio of cakes, one prepared homemade scone with butter, jam & clotted cream, a packet of crisps and a soft drink per person.

When does my picnic order need to be in?
All picnic orders need to be made at least 48 hours in advance.
What time can I collect my picnic?
Our picnics can be pre-ordered for collection between 11am and 3pm daily. When you place your order, please select the time you wish to collect from us.
How much do the picnics cost?
Our picnics cost £12.95 per person.

-Seasonal salad bowl +£5
Are the picnics suitable for my child?
Our kids picnic box is designed for children under 7 years old. These include a cheese, ham or jam sandwich, a packet of quavers, a cookie, a piece of fruit and a drink served in our picnic box. These cost £5.00 per child.
Does the picnic price include entry into the gardens?
No, the picnic price does not include the cost of entry into the gardens. Click here to book your tickets to enter the gardens.
Do you serve alcohol with the picnic?
Yes, we serve alcohol packages with our picnics. Click here to view our drinks menu.
Please note: We follow the challenge 25 policy, all picnics ordered with alcoholic drinks must be collected by an adult of the legal alcohol consumption age.
We would like more drinks; can we order more?
If you would like further drinks, you can order and pay for these at the collection point.
Can we order hot drinks?
If you would like a hot drink, you can order these from Totally Delicious tearooms or from The Waffle Hut. Show your receipt when you order to get a 10% discount from your order.
Do you cater to different dietary requirements?
We have a vegetarian, vegan and gluten free option available. Click here to view our menus. You will choose the relevant picnic when you order online and we will ask you to sign for your order and agree to all allergens when collecting your order.
Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
Yes, all our packaging is Vegware. Vegware is made from plants using renewable, lower carbon, recycled or reclaimed materials, and designed to be commercially compostable with food waste, where accepted. Compostables are a practical solution for single-use food-contaminated disposables, allowing foodservice to achieve their sustainability goals.
How do we dispose of our rubbish?
We do ask that you use bins located around the gardens or take your rubbish away with you.
What if I am late to pick up my order?
Your picnic will be ready at the agreed collection time. If you are late for collection, this may affect the quality of your order and is the responsibility of the guests.
Can I customise my order?
We can swap fruit scones to plain scones and remove butter/jam/cream however, you will need to put this in the notes when ordering. We cannot alter on the day of collection.
What else can I purchase on the day?
We have teamed up with our neighbours at The Waffle Hut where you can get 10% off anything you order with them on the day you collect your picnic. Just show your receipt to get 10% off your total order.
Where do I collect my picnic order from?
Head towards Totally Delicious tearooms, head to our host stand and let the team know you are collecting a picnic. They will tell you where to wait for your order.
What if I can’t make it on the day?
We are not able to issue any refunds. If you cancel before the 48-hour period, we will be able to reallocate your booking to another day. We are not able to reallocate any bookings that fall within the 48-hour period before your booking. We do not issue refunds, but can accommodate a different date.
How do I provide feedback about my picnic?
You will receive an email with a link to leave us your feedback the day after your visit. Click here to leave your feedback.
