Picnic – FAQ’s
What is included in the picnic to go?
Our picnic includes a selection of freshly made savoury and sweet delights including a trio of sandwiches, cakes and crisps. Each guest can also choose a soft drink on the day of collection.
What time can I collect my afternoon tea to go?
Our picnics can be pre-ordered for collection at 11:30am only. Please collect your tea box from our Tearooms venue, head to the host stand where a member of the team will greet you. If there is a queue, please make your way to the front.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are attending the summer concerts, our afternoon tea will be available for collection at 6:30pm from our bar which is located adjacent from the stage.
How much do afternoon teas to go cost?
£15.50 per person
Does the picnic price include entry into the gardens?
No, the afternoon tea price does not include the cost of entry into the gardens. Click here to book your tickets to enter the gardens.
We would like more drinks; can we order more?
If you would like further drinks on the day, you can order and pay for these at the collection point.
Do you cater to different dietary requirements?
We have a vegetarian and vegan box available. Click here to view our menus. We do not cater to any other allergies at this time and we cannot accept any swapping of food items.
Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
Yes, all our packaging is Vegware. Vegware is made from plants using renewable, lower carbon, recycled or reclaimed materials, and designed to be commercially compostable with food waste, where accepted. Compostables are a practical solution for single-use food-contaminated disposables, allowing foodservice to achieve their sustainability goals.
How do we dispose of our rubbish?
We do ask that you use bins located around the gardens or take your rubbish away with you.
What if I am late to pick up my order?
Your box will be ready at the agreed collection time. If you are late for collection, this may affect the quality of your order and is the responsibility of the guests.
Can I customise my order?
We cannot accept any swapping of food items to your picnic.
What if I can’t make it on the day?
We are not able to issue any refunds. If you cancel before the 48-hour period, we will be able to reallocate your booking to another day. We are not able to reallocate any bookings that fall within the 48-hour period before your booking. We do not issue refunds, but can accommodate a different date.
